Cloud Menu Accessibility Statement
On this page
Cloud Menu LLC ("Cloud Menu," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to improving the accessibility and usability of its websites, platform, and public digital-menu experiences for people with disabilities.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We work to identify, prevent, and address barriers as the Cloud Menu platform, supported technologies, customer content, and accessibility practices evolve.
Our Accessibility Approach
Cloud Menu uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 Level AA as a design, development, and testing reference where reasonably applicable to the Services.
WCAG provides technical guidance for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Using WCAG as a reference does not constitute a representation, warranty, certification, or guarantee that every part of the Services conforms to every WCAG success criterion or satisfies every legal requirement in every circumstance.
Cloud Menu also considers accessibility practices described by the United States Department of Justice for businesses and web content under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Measures We Take
Depending on the feature and context, Cloud Menu's accessibility efforts may include:
- semantic headings, landmarks, lists, links, and form controls;
- keyboard access and visible focus indicators;
- text alternatives for Cloud Menu-controlled meaningful images;
- sufficient color contrast in Cloud Menu-controlled interfaces;
- labels, instructions, and understandable error messages for forms;
- support for browser zoom, responsive layouts, and text reflow;
- screen-reader-compatible names, roles, states, and status messages;
- captions or text alternatives for Cloud Menu-created multimedia when applicable;
- testing with automated accessibility tools;
- manual keyboard and assistive-technology testing of important workflows; and
- review and remediation of reported accessibility barriers.
These measures are implemented and improved over time according to the nature of the feature, available technology, identified impact, and reasonable development priorities.
Digital Menus and QR Access
Cloud Menu provides public web addresses for digital menus. QR codes are one way to reach those addresses, but a QR code is not intended to be the only method of access.
Restaurants and other Cloud Menu customers are responsible for making the public menu address available through reasonable alternative methods when necessary and for providing appropriate assistance or accommodations required for their guests.
Cloud Menu works to make its public digital-menu interface usable through supported browsers and assistive technologies. Actual accessibility can also be affected by the content, colors, images, descriptions, documents, links, and configuration supplied by the customer.
Customer-Provided Content
Cloud Menu customers control the menu and business information they upload, configure, and publish through the Services. Customer-provided content may include:
- restaurant names and descriptions;
- menu categories, items, ingredients, and prices;
- photographs, logos, and promotional graphics;
- colors and branding selections;
- external links and embedded content;
- allergen, dietary, food-safety, gratuity, and legal notices; and
- information about restaurant services or accommodations.
Customers are responsible for reviewing their content and configuration and for satisfying the accessibility and effective-communication obligations that apply to their businesses.
Cloud Menu may provide fields, design constraints, recommendations, or other tools intended to support accessibility. Those tools do not replace the customer's responsibility to provide accurate, complete, understandable, and accessible content.
Third-Party Services and Technology
The Services may rely on or link to third-party browsers, devices, operating systems, payment services, videos, maps, documents, websites, applications, or other technologies that Cloud Menu does not control.
Cloud Menu cannot guarantee the accessibility or compatibility of third-party products, customer-selected integrations, external websites, or every combination of browser, device, operating system, and assistive technology.
If a barrier appears to involve a third-party service, Cloud Menu may review the issue and consider reasonable alternatives or communicate the issue to the relevant provider where appropriate.
Known Limitations and Ongoing Improvement
The Services change over time, and some content or features may not work equally well with every assistive technology or configuration. Automated testing also cannot identify every accessibility barrier.
Cloud Menu may prioritize remediation based on the severity of the barrier, the importance of the affected function, the number of users affected, technical feasibility, available alternatives, and reasonable development resources.
This statement does not mean that Cloud Menu has identified every possible barrier or that the Services are free from accessibility defects.
Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you experience difficulty accessing a Cloud Menu website, platform feature, or digital menu, contact us at legal@getcloudmenu.com.
To help us understand the problem, please include as much of the following information as you are comfortable providing:
- the page or digital-menu address;
- the restaurant or location involved, if applicable;
- a description of the feature or content that was difficult to access;
- what you were trying to accomplish;
- the browser, device, operating system, or assistive technology you were using;
- any error message you received; and
- your preferred method of contact.
Do not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information.
Cloud Menu will review accessibility reports and consider reasonable investigation, assistance, alternatives, or remediation as appropriate. Cloud Menu does not guarantee a specific response time or resolution deadline.
Restaurant-Specific Assistance
If your request concerns a restaurant's ingredients, allergens, prices, availability, physical location, seating, service practices, or accommodations, you should also contact the restaurant directly. The restaurant controls that information and its physical and business operations.
Cloud Menu does not operate the restaurants that use the Services and cannot make commitments on a restaurant's behalf.
No Certification or Guarantee
Cloud Menu's accessibility work and use of WCAG as a reference do not constitute a certification or guarantee of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, WCAG, or every other accessibility law, regulation, standard, guideline, or interpretation.
Nothing in this statement limits any right or obligation that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to This Statement
Cloud Menu LLC may update this Accessibility Statement as the Services, technology, accessibility practices, or legal requirements evolve. A revised statement becomes effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated.
